CONSTRUCTION
The Process
To give you an idea of what you can expect during the installation of your new pool or spa, we have broken down the process into 13 steps. Don't hesitate to ask your supervisor about any of the steps involved or other questions you may have.

The Site:
Prior to excavation, your supervisor will mark out your new pool or spa. The layout is based on your custom design, and upon your approval, excavation will start.

Excavation:
Roll in the heavy equipment, it's time to dig a big hole. In most cases it will take less than one working day to complete the excavation of your pool and remove the soil from your yard. If you're interested in keeping some of the soil from your yard, just let us know prior to excavation.

Steel Placement:
Steel reinforcing bars are placed inside the excavation, along the bottom, up the sides, into the bond beam, and around the skimmers. Firmly wired together, these bars add to the strength and long life of your pool shell.Steel reinforcing bars are placed inside the excavation, along the bottom, up the sides, into the bond beam, and around the skimmers. |

Inspections:
At varying stages of construction, detailed inspections are performed by your supervisor. In addition to these, our engineer will carry out a steel inspection prior to the concrete being applied.

Pool Shell:
A concrete mixture is pneumatically applied under great pressure to bond tightly around the steel reinforcing bars. This results in a reinforced steel and concrete pool of superior strength.

Curing:
After we have sprayed the concrete shell, you should apply a fine mist of water from your garden hose several times a day for about a week. This process is called curing and it enhances the strength of your pool shell.

Plumbing:
While the shell is curing, our plumbers will install the plumbing lines and state of the art equipment to efficiently clean and purify your pool water.

Electrical:
Once the plumbing work is done, your electrician should come in to earth the pool, connect the lights, and provide the power points for the filtration equipment.

Coping and Tiling:
Our tradesmen install the coping around the pool's perimeter. Some options are brick, Terra Cotta or Simulated Sandstone. For clients who have chosen to have a tileband, the tiles are installed along what will be the waterline of the interior of the pool. Tiles are available in a wide variety of colours with the most common being 50mm mosaics 300mm deep.

Fencing:
Councils require that you provide a fence with self closing and locking gates around your pool. before we can proceed, your fencing may have to be completed and inspected by approved certifiers.

Waterproof Finish:
Our crews will now cover the surface of your pool with a durable finish that seals it and provides a beautiful finishing touch. This could be either pebblecrete, vinyl or fully tiled.

Pool Start Up:
Water from your garden hose or other source will be used to fill your pool. Once filled, we will come to your home and put the start-up chemicals in the pool, start up the equipment and show you exactly how the equipment works.
